FAQ
Wedding Questions
Q: How do I secure beauty services and how early should I book?
A: Your wedding day (4-person minimum) is booked when we receive the desired retainer amount ($200) and a signed contract. For contracts with less than four people, the retainer amount is 50% of the total.
You can book as early or as late as you want, but we recommend doing it as soon as you make the decision to have professional beauty services.. Some clients book as early as a year in advance, especially during peak season which is March- October. We suggest booking your Trial Session at least 3 months before your wedding date if possible.
Q: When do I pay the full amount for my services?
A: Full payment for the wedding day is required 2 weeks before the wedding date. Some brides pay monthly/ in increments or in advance.
Q: What forms of payment are accepted?
A: We currently accept Zelle, VENMO, Cash, Credit Cards, and Square
(3.5% surcharge applied for Square and PayPal payments)

We pride ourselves on using professional-grade products. We are always looking for great products, and we only use tried-and-true, effective, safe, and long-wearing products.
Q: Do you travel for beauty services?
A: Yes, we gladly provide on-location service for weddings (travel fee applies outside of DC). Please inquire for more information on our traveling policy/fees and out-of-county or destination services. Service at all hotels will require Valet parking and will be charged to the room/suite.
Q: Is there a minimum requirement for services for you to travel?
A: We do require a 4-person minimum when the location is 30 minutes or more from zip code 20010 in the months of March to October.
Q: Will you stay at my event for makeup touch-ups?
A: We do offer On-Location Touch Up service. It’s beneficial if you plan to change your makeup, or if you like to have someone be there to do touch-ups for you during the event or photo shoot. Hourly rates apply. Please let us know when you make the inquiry so we can discuss options and rates.
Q: If I'm not booking touch-up services, how should I touch up my makeup on my wedding day/event day?
A: We suggest having a lightweight touch-up powder for you to use during the event. May we also suggest that your partner have an extra handkerchief just in case they get lipstick on themselves? We also skillfully utilize long-lasting, water-resistant makeup products to ensure that your makeup will stand up to the elements.
Q: Do I need to do a trial? Is it really necessary?
A: We highly recommend doing a bridal trial makeup session for your wedding. We even suggest trying to coordinate your makeup and hair trials on the same day so you can get an accurate preview of your wedding day look.
Q: When should I do a beauty trial?
A: We recommend doing a trial once you have chosen your wedding gown and have a clear idea of your desired bridal look. We recommend planning a night out or even a wedding event on the same day so you get full wear out of your look.
Q: How long does the trial take?
A: The bridal trial sessions take about 90 minutes to 2 hours.
The bridal trial includes a consultation, skin analysis, style commendations, and a custom makeup application with foundation, highlight & contour, eyebrow shaping, eye makeup, false lashes, and lip color. Feel bring to bring 1 person with you!
Q: What happens at the trial session?
A: We ask that you bring inspirational pictures to share with us. During the bridal trial, we will do a consultation on your skin and makeup. You will get to try on full Bridal Makeup. We will spend the time to make little adjustments or try different things to ensure that you will be at your best on your special day. We recommend bringing your veil and any other accessories to try on. We also suggest wearing a white tank or tube top that has a similar neckline to your wedding gown.
Q: What do I need to do to prepare for the Trial Session/Engagement Session?
A: Please DO bring photos (or send in advance) of all desired beauty looks. Feel free to be super specific. Pinterest is a great resource. If you want extensions, please bring them clean and dry.
Feel free to reference as many photos as you like so that you can clearly explain your desired look. If you want to leave it up to us, we'll make sure your look suits your face, personality, and that goes with your dress!
Please arrive with a clean face. (i.e. no leftover mascara, eyeliner, etc.). Please have your eyebrows groomed (plucked, threaded or waxed) Please feel free to bring any of your favorite makeup products, skincare, or anything that you would desire me to use. I am very open and easy to work with. If you have allergies or product preferences please let me know in advance so we can accommodate you. Please have clean dry hair with only a volumizing mousse.
Wear button-down shirts or bring a robe to wear so you won’t have a hard time changing into your dress after hair and makeup. Feel free to bring your veil, accessories, and pictures of your wedding gown for reference.
Q: What if I want to make changes to my makeup trial look or am unhappy with the outcome?
A: All applications are done by handing the mirror to the client throughout the makeover. The client has free range to make suggestions and requests throughout the session. If the client would like a second trial we can schedule that. The second trial is the same cost as the original.
Q: What if I do not want a trial?
A: If you choose not to have a trial, a complimentary 15-minute Zoom call is offered to discuss your look. We prefer that you email us in advance with your desired hair and/or makeup images so we can make full use of the allotted time. Any additional Zooms will be $75 for 30 minutes. It is highly recommended to have a bridal trial to get all of your questions out and to get a feel for your wedding day look.
